Celebrate The Small Things … With A Song!

vik - small things 2

It’s time again for Celebrate The Small Things, where we celebrate our small victories for the week. If you want to join in the fun, please visit our host Viklit for more info and sign up.

For this week, I’m celebrating finally getting to try the new sushi place in town. I saw it a couple of weeks ago but the lines are always long and to be honest, I really don’t have the patience to wait, no matter how good the food is.ย  When I passed by the other day, I saw the line was considerably shorter and decided to grab my chance. All I can say is, yum!

It finally rained today! An odd thing to celebrate, perhaps, but we’ve been having very dry weather lately and it’s really annoying when that happens as my skin allergy flares up. Did I mention I hate dry winters?

So you know how a song just catches your attention, no matter what you’re doing? Well, Burn by Ellie Goulding is that song for me at the moment. Never fails to kick me up a notch. What song(s) don’t you get tired of no matter how many times you’ve heard it? Do share in the comments section. Would definitely love to hear them.

  1. Sushi? Yuk. I’ve never tried it, but: Yuk! But I do like Ellie G. Have a lovely weekend.

  2. Ooh I love Ellie Goulding ๐Ÿ˜€

Glad you enjoyed the sushi at the new place. And hey if it helps with your allergies, then I’ll celebrate rain with you! Enjoy your weekend ๐Ÿ˜‰

  3. Thanks for the song share. I can relate to loving a song so much you play it all day and when you aren’t listening to it, you sing it. Right now that song is Ed Sheeran’s I See Fire, for me. After seeing The Hobbit I fell in love with the song.

  4. This is a great post. Ellie Goulding is awesome.

  5. Thanks for the song! I’ve been really enjoying the Frozen soundtrack my family gave me for Christmas . . . and I really like Ready or Not by Britt Nicole (more known for Gold).

  6. Glad you got to try out a fun new place!

  7. I too am a sushi fan, and I love that song. It is quite popular on our radio. My celebrations are up too.

  8. Yay for the sushi, the rain, and the song. Have a great week! ๐Ÿ™‚

  9. Not a sushi fan. But love the song. Happy Valentines Day.

  10. I have to chime in here and say YAY to both the rain and the sushi! Also is it just me or is there just an awesome number of good songs out there at the moment? I love everything by Ellie Goulding and Lorde and A Great Big World….
