Don’t Take Things for Granted – Celebrate The Small Things

Celebrate The Small Things is a weekly blog hop wherein we post our celebrations each Friday, big and small. Thanks to our host VikLit for this wonderful meme and my fellow co-hosts Diana Wilder, LG Keltner@Writing Off the Edge, and Katie@TheCyborg Mom for their hard work!

This week I’m celebrating:

  1. Had a lovely visit with family and a nice dinner party for Mom’s birthday.

  2. Doughnuts! I know it seems like an odd thing to celebrate, but it’s really hard to find specialty doughnuts in Hong Kong. So yes, I’m definitely celebrating choco-glazed custard-filled doughnuts!

  3. Chili Cheese Dog! Yes, another thing that is hard to find in Hong Kong. It’s been nearly a year since I had one. Yum!

  4. Although my flight back was cancelled due to a typhoon, I’m celebrating the fact that everyone I know is safe and sound. Reports on the news show extensive damage to properties in other areas, but at least casualties are down.

  5. Electricity and stable internet connection. Power lines in Hong Kong are under the ground so we generally don’t get power outages when hit by typhoons. Definitely one of the better things to appreciate, especially after a day without electricity!

How was your week?

Glad to hear all’s ok with you after the typhoon, I’m always so glad we’re not right on the coast and exposed to the full strength of typhoons, that could get real scary!
